Mandrill, my former e-mail provider, discontinued the service I was using and I botched switching over to a new service. Between 25 and 27 February any attempts by the game or the forums to send e-mails resulted in an Internal Server Error. I didn’t notice because I botched the error monitoring too. I fixed the game yesterday and the forums just now.
If you see any more problems, report them to jack@fleshcult.com
Sorry about that. 🙁
Hi, both of my emails say ‘to many confirmations sent’ from that outage
Ok, I’ve cleaned out some undeliverable account confirmations, so it should let you try again.
Hey there! Trying to create an account right now but not getting anything in my inbox – have tried a few times. Using the email to create the account to post this message if that helps.
Sendgrid reports having sent 3 emails to that address. Dunno what Hotmail did with them. Hopefully they’re in a spam folder rather than silently eaten.
get another pay option and ill give you all my money
Is the game basically done forever at this point? I see update logs last posted from like two years ago.
Basically done forever unless I restart development. If the G-rated thing I’m working on turns out to be a complete disaster it could happen. In that situation I’d do a big announcement and send out a newsletter to the folks who have that enabled in their account settings.
Sooooooo… getting towards the end of 2016, hows the g-rated project going? Any chance of fleshcult love in the next few months?
Still working on it. We’re in the middle of beta and are overrunning the schedule. The outlook for Fleshcult love: unremittingly dismal. 🙂
I have not received my email confirmation. Are you done monitoring this game?
The logs on my end show 3 emails delivered to your hotmail address and one to your gmail address. One thing I’m seeing is a bunch of emails stuck in a “deferred” state at SendGrid. Too many people have been marking fleshcult emails as spam, and the big email providers have started limiting the rate they’ll deliver email from me. I expect it’ll clear up in a few days if people stop doing that. There’s really not much I can do.
(I should mention, I am only sending account confirmations and password resets. The rate of spam reports for these is 0.8%. Still too high apparently!)
